• When you purchase a report: the vehicle history data compiled for that report (from the DVLA, DVSA, and licensed data providers), which we retain with your order so you can revisit your report
• Communications you send to us
• Information collected through cookies and similar technologies. Analytics and marketing cookies are on by default and you can switch them off at any time in our cookie settings

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our services
• Process transactions and send related information
• Send you technical notices, updates, and support messages
• Send you marketing or promotional emails (for example, discount codes) where you have given consent. You can opt out or withdraw consent at any time
• Respond to your comments and questions
• Monitor and analyse trends, usage, and activities
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and fraudulent activity

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

• With service providers who perform services on our behalf, including AWS (hosting, storage, and the AI analysis included in reports, processed via Amazon Bedrock in the UK (London) region), Stripe (payments), and our vehicle data providers. When you place an order, we pass Stripe how you arrived at our site (search engine, AI assistant, email or ad, including ad click identifiers if you allow marketing cookies), the name of the website that referred you, the page you landed on (without its query string) and the time (see the cookie table in our cookie policy).
• To comply with legal obligations
• To protect the rights and safety of Carhealth, our users, or others
• In connection with a merger, sale, or acquisition of all or part of our business

4. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to help protect your personal information from loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. However, no internet or email transmission is ever fully secure or error-free.

Vehicle report data is scheduled for automatic deletion 30 days after purchase. You can request earlier deletion of your data at any time (see Section 5) by contacting contact@carhealth.co.uk.

Your information may be transferred to and maintained on servers located outside of your country. We take steps to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

8. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
